Our latest Limited Release No.11 comes to us from the Kintamani Highlands of Central Bali, Indonesia. In the volcanic loam soil of Mount Agung, citrus trees shade the magnificent coffee fruits, and are then dried on fully raised beds. This Bali Kintamani Uptita is a natural processed coffee grown by coffee farmers organized through a Subak Abian or co-op. The Subak Abian coffee production system is an ecologically sustainable irrigation system that was established by the Hindu Priests in the region 1,000 years ago. These farmers use intentional growing practices that account for water scarcity and sustainability while simultaneously producing a wonderful coffee that exhibits an array of aromas unlike most other coffee.
