Some believe combining your morning coffee with a high milk-fat cream or even butter and other vitamins creates a chemical bond resulting in a slower releasing caffeine molecule. This helps to smooth out the crash as the coffee's effects wane.
A pour over is the simplest form of drip coffee. This method hadn't even been heard of before WWII when American G.I.'s stationed in Itally requested it at the local cafes. Since the Italians only drank espresso, they poured that on top of hot water. Thus the "Americano" was born.
Most decaf coffee comes from lower grade beans that are unfit for specialty coffee demands. Our decafs are prepared from the exact beans as our regular beans. Only after the coffee is approved for our standards is it sent to Vancouver B.C for Swiss Water Decaffeination.
